VALENTINE'S DAY TREE... FOR ME

Follow Me on PinterestI saw this tree on Pinterest and immediately knew I would try it.  I already had the plant pot and got the rest of the materials at the Dollar Tree, minus the mini clothes hangers.  I got those at Jo Ann's craft store.  I spent less than $10 making it and spent good quality time putting it together with my daughter.  I made some modifications but that's the fun part; you can make it your own. I've posted the link to the tree on Pinterest and it gives good, full instrucstions on how to make it.  It's very easy guys.  :-)

Enjoy!!

this is the one on Pinterest :-)

I WEAR BUTTON EARRINGS

These are very special because they were the very first button earrings I made.  I think I did a pretty good job and I love them!
I made these earrings using black buttons I bough at the craft store. The material is plastic with a glossy finish. I used silver surgical steel posts and backings. The first picture is the close up so it makes them look larger than what they actually are. The second and third picture show a better size image. In actuality, they are the size of a nickle.
I like these because they have a vintage look. I like to wear them with a cute pony tail or a messy bun with almost any type of outfit. If you have short hair these are perfect!  check them out in my Etsy shop.

EXCITED! FIRST BLOG

Last night I made these very cute magnets on my living room floor.
I used stickers, flat marble pieces I had from old candle arrangements and a small 6 pack of magnets I bought at Jo Ann's.
I started using regular scrap book paper but it was too thin and I could see tacky wet spots.  I spread very small layer of super glue and also tried E6000 glue with a toothpick and still had the same problem.  Has anyone had this problem?...  If you have any pointers, please let me know.
So then I switched to some thick stickers my daughter had left over from her scrap booking and those worked perfectly fine.
Once I made one, I wanted to keep making more and more.  Even my daughter made one and had fun with it.  Unfortunately, she only had six of those stickers left!... I can't wait to make more of these as gifts for my friends and family.  I'm also thinking about sharing them in etsy.  Maybe themed ones?... I have a few ideas in mind.
Take a look at my finished work.  These are somewhat juvenile but this is all I had to work with last night.
I'd like to make some with family pictures but not until I solve the tacky wet spot view problem.
Nevertheless, they are holding up paperwork and pictures and decorating my fridge at the same time!  It's amazing how one small, colorful object can make such a difference.
Hope YOU like.  :-)
By the way, I'm very excited!! this is my very first blog!!
